Kart Computing

This team is responsible for developing the main kart computer. This computer will relay all the data between electronics and our components. This will help the driver to find where he is lacking and how he can improve his lap-times. It also helps us to find if the kart lacks anywhere. This will be done with the help of sensors. Electronics give us the ability to visualise the parameters like speed, RPM, and monitor the battery percentage and other important features. They ensure efficient use of BMS (Battery Management System), controllers and processors.

For cars or automobiles, CAN (Control Area Network) is used for internal communications between car components. Sensors are used to read the data. We further use a microcontroller circuit to display the necessary information, on the driver’s screen.

This team gets a hands-on experience of working on an electronics live project. Their work relates to implementing the concepts related to analogue to digital data conversion. Along with that they have knowledge about all electrical components and their respective connections, and thoroughly understand the internal communication of the kart.
