Chassis

The chassis team is responsible for designing, testing, and manufacturing of the kart. Chassis is the main support component in the kart’s structure as it bears the forces experienced by the car while it is standing still or moving at higher speeds. It provides the structural shape and support to the entire body, keeps the body intact while experiencing the forces and handles the kart’s load. Thus designing and manufacturing a chassis is the most crucial part of the entire process.

Designing includes initial hand drawn sketches to a fully assembled 3D CAD model. The steering, braking, and all other sub systems are designed individually and tested using CAE (Computer aided engineering) simulation softwares.

Testing provides us with the understanding of how the chassis will react when forces are applied from different directions and then make changes accordingly, after the design process of the kart,we subsequently enter the manufacturing process, wherein building the entire chassis and the assembly of all sub systems including powertrain and bodywork is done.
